Frequently Asked Questions
No Church Experience Required
We plan our Heritage worship experiences to last around 70 minutes.
Our experience begins in the atrium where you’ll find coffee, tea and water every weekend. Grab a cup and enter our auditorium. We start the service with a brief video showing who we are and what to expect in the service. Our Heritage band leads the church in music — song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion is finished, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus based on the Bible. Every week during the message, the Biblical text is shared on the screens so you can follow along whether you bring a Bible or not. After the challenging message we usually sing one last song before being dismissed.
We sing anywhere from 4 to 5 contemporary worship songs in a service. We tend to sing upbeat songs that focus on the greatness of God. Many of our songs are hymns, found on the radio and we’ve even written a few of our own.
Our intent is to help one another follow Jesus as faithful disciples by moving toward God in worship, toward one another in community, and toward the world on mission. Our messages are modeled to be Scripture based, culturally relevant, and immediately applicable. We speak to all who would listen, rich or poor, black or white, all are welcome.
You are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. Just come as you are, and be yourself. Jeans, chinos, shorts, slacks, dresses, skirts, or even suits are all fine by us. We are far more concerned with what happens on the inside of people rather than their external appearance or what they wear to church.
Kids ministry is offered every Sunday morning at both service times (9 & 10:30) for ages Infants – 5th grade.
We believe church should be a fun and safe place where kids can learn more about Jesus no matter their age. Because of that, we have developed fun environments that your kids will love. We also have a detailed, secure check-in process. Our Kids Directors, Ms. Kendra and Ms. Addie love kids and would love to meet you and help make your experience exceptional.
We also have classes for middle and high school students during the 10:30a service. Directors Amber and Matt create spaces for students to engage the Bible in creative and new ways. We are confident your student is going to be excited to return next weekend.
If this is your first time joining us we’d love to make check in process faster for your family. Simply fill out this form before you come and you’ll already be in the system.
We have a large parking lot that surrounds the building. There is always space for new people to come check out our church. We recommend parking close to the building in our “Grace Spaces”. Our main entrance is on the front West side of the building. If you have kids you may want to park right in the middle and enter through the kids entrance on the front of the building.
Absolutely! We have a wonderful Kids and Student groups, men and women’s groups, mental health groups, Life stage groups as well as Journey 60+ groups and everything in between. Our building is a hub of activity through the week and there’s always something for everyone.
We have a whole page of our website that is devoted to sharing just that. Take a look!
We recommend you come and see. The best way to get involved and learn more is jumping in to something that peaks your interest. Join us for worship. Attend a group. Serve our community on mission.
