The following environments are created to help you meet people who share your same season of life and live in your area of town. Young or old, single, married, or divorced, we have a place for you to connect and grow.

Miqra

Tuesdays, beginning Sep 3, 6:30pm, Rm 210
Take part in a systematic journey through the Bible. Explore the scriptures and hear them come alive in new and refreshing ways. Miqra consists of around an hour of teaching followed by a half hour of conversation.

Formational Prayer Seminar

with Dr. Terry Wardle

June 6-9 – $325

Training seminar in Formational Prayer for men and women engaged in care-giving ministries. This seminar provides the tools for addressing dysfunctional behaviors; teaches steps for dealing with deep wounds; presents information on spirituality and world view as each relates to helping the broken; and demonstrates pathways that help people dismantle destructive false beliefs.

In Ephesians 4, Paul urges all believers to “live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” We want to live lives that are worthy, and to do so we need to understand the Bible. We will search for truth in the Scriptures, digging through layers of history, tradition, and jargon down to the foundations of our faith. We will humble ourselves before the ancient texts by acknowledging the authors, historical context, and literary style as we read. We will witness the Word come alive as we discuss the application of passages to our present time.

Discovering Heritage

Join us for a short get together, about an hour, designed to let you know a little bit about Heritage and help you connect with other new folks who have recently started attending as well.

On Sunday, January 19th at 11am, we will get to know a few new friends, hear a bit about the history of Heritage, and hear from our pastors.

DivorceCare

Thursdays, 6:30-8:30pm, Jan 12, 2023
Join us any Thursday evening to find help from the pain of divorce or separation and learn how to deal with the hurts of the past and grow towards rebuilding your life. Each week, we will watch a DVD and have a group discussion afterward.

GriefShare

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. We provide support for those grieving the loss of a loved one through a Biblical-based presentation. Join us at any time.

Heritage Singles 35+

Heritage Singles 35+ assists Christian singles or single again to live God’s purpose for their lives and help them realize their spiritual, social, and relational needs in the context of true Biblical community. Heritage Singles 35+ come together once a month for an activity that provides ongoing fellowship.

Alpha

Tuesdays, 7-8pm, Rm 110
Alpha is an enlightening series exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. There’s no obligation to say anything. And there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment. Everyone is welcome the entire course or just the weeks that are of an interest. It is a wonderful opportunity to bring a friend along with you that may have questions about faith.

Prayer & Healing Groups

Deliverance Ministry

This unique ministry involves helping people experience freedom from demonic oppression through Jesus Christ (Eph. 6:12-13). A free booklet, “Sold-Out to God,” is available at Connect Central. After reading the booklet, if you want more information, or to contact the ministry leader, Dick Luchtenberg, email deliveranceministry@heritagecc.org. There is prayer available for any need in our prayer room after each worship service.

Awakening to a Deeper Journey

Have you ever wondered if there was more to the Christian life than what you’re experiencing? Have you longed for a deeper relationship with Jesus but felt stuck in your daily walk? This 6-week group, which is now being offered online, involves interactive teaching, discussion, and prayer to help you gain new perspectives and feel more hopeful and energized.

THG – Transformational Healing Groups

Groups begin Winter 2019
In these 13-week groups, we find how to position ourselves for God to do a transforming work of healing that impacts our thoughts, feelings, and actions. In a THG, we open ourselves to the Lord, and bring him our pains and wounds in the presence of a loving and safe small group.
